A hydrogen compressor is a device that increases the pressure of hydrogen by reducing its volume to produce compressed hydrogen or liquid hydrogen. This is a compressor that discharges the hydrogen collected in the water electrolyzer to the outside of the ship.

Compressor composition


The compressor unit is mainly composed of a body, a middle body, a cylinder, a crankshaft, a connecting rod, a crosshead, a piston assembly, a packing and a valve.


1. The machine body is made of cast iron, and the upper part of each main bearing is opened to disassemble the crankshaft and connecting rod. The main bearing near the motor end is the axial positioning bearing of the crankshaft, and the bearing end has a sealing device to prevent lubricating oil leakage. The bearing is made of aluminum and covered with a thin strip of alloy. The main bearing bush is made of thin-walled bearing alloy bricks. In an emergency stop, the crankcase cover can only be opened after 30 minutes. If it is opened too early, there is a danger of explosion.


2. The middle part is the key component connecting the body and the cylinder. It is made of cast iron. There are windows of different sizes on both sides of the intermediate body, which are mainly used to remove the packing and adjust the piston gap. When the piston reciprocates, check the parallelism of the piston rod. (That is, the eccentricity of the piston rod is 0.04 mm, and the maximum value is not more than 0.07 mm), and the scraping device is installed at the rear end of the chute. Its function is to make the air in the crankcase not be confused with the nitrogen in the cylinder and stuffing box. The lubricating oil in the crankcase can be recycled and reused. The upper and lower parts of the middle main body are equipped with special holes, which can provide channels and interfaces for the isolation stuffing box through the nitrogen protection of the pressure stuffing box and the water cooling and nitrogen protection.


3. The surface of the cylinder is water-cooled with a water jacket inside. When the cooling water circulates, the heat generated in the compression process is partly taken away to improve the heating conditions of the cylinder block. The flow direction of the gas pipe in the cylinder is upward and downward, and the flow direction of the cooling water interface is downward and upward. The cylinder bore in the cylinder has a mirror-like and wear-resistant working surface. Wipe the cylinder bore with a clean non-woven cloth.


4. The crankshaft is an important part of the compressor. Made of high-quality carbon steel. In this case, there are two main storage areas and two curved necks. The two curved necks rotate 180 degrees to improve dynamic balance. The main shaft and the curved neck have certain angled oil holes, and the surface of the oil holes and the shaft is round and polished to increase the fatigue strength of the crankshaft. The lubricant is removed from the main shaft journal and reaches the crankshaft journal through the oil holes on the main shaft. Then place the oil hole on the connecting rod on the cross pin to lubricate and cool the moving parts.


5. The connecting rod is the connecting part of the crosshead and the crankshaft. It consists of shaft, connecting rod big end bearing and connecting rod small end bearing and connecting bolts. The shaft is made of high-quality carbon steel forgings with good mechanical properties. The rod nut is slotted and positioned with a split pin. The connecting rod crank pin bearing is a two-piece housing type aluminum bearing that can be installed on the crank pin. The connecting rod toggle pin bearing is an integral solid aluminum bushing that can be retracted into the hole of the connecting rod. There is an oil hole on the size of the connecting rod, and the lubricating oil can pass through the small and small bearings directly along the oil hole to lubricate and cool the small and small head bearings. If the running clearance is too large and the bearing makes noise, it should be replaced.


6. The crosshead is cast steel split structure. There are two aluminum bushes on the outside of the crosshead. The crosshead is equipped with a washer under the slider for easy installation and adjustment. The crosshead and piston rod pass through the connecting rod nut. Connect and use the fixed cover with internal teeth to fix the loose (A03) and (A08) with pins and bolts to prevent loosening. The bolt cross-head pin is made of carbonized steel and is connected to the beam by taper, and the tapered surface is in close contact with the pin. The key on the tapered surface is used to prevent the pin from rotating in the hole seat. The lubrication between the crosshead and the slideway of the middle body is realized by the oil eyes of the crosshead leading to the slideway of the middle body.


7. The piston assembly is composed of a piston rod, a piston body and a piston ring. The piston rod is made of nitrided alloy steel, and the surface is nitrided to improve its wear resistance. The piston ring is an important and easily worn part of the compressor. Its function is to prevent gas from leaking from the high pressure side of the cylinder to the low pressure side. Material, machining accuracy and assembly quality will directly affect the operation of the compressor. The piston ring of the hydrogen compressor is filled with PTFE + carbon graphite material on site, which is suitable for high pressure and oil-free lubrication.


8. Packing is a component that prevents the gas in the cylinder from leaking between the piston rod and the cylinder. The quality of the piston rod seal directly affects the performance of the compressor. The basic requirements of packaging are good sealing performance and durability. The sealant at the front end of the field wiper and the pressure stuffing box box is copper packing, and the rear sealing packing and insulating packing are filled with PTFE + carbon graphite. The oil slinger is the long-term wear of the oil slinger, which causes the oil to leak along the piston rod. At this time, the oil slinger throws the lubricating oil attached to the piston rod to protect the piston rod under the inertia of the reciprocating movement of the piston rod. At the same time, cleaning can also prevent lubricant from entering the cylinder, which can cause the cylinder to explode. When the compressor is not in use, open the nitrogen valve to fill the compressor with nitrogen, protect the piston rod and prevent rusting inside the compressor.


9. The air valve is one of the most important components of the compressor, consisting of a valve seat, a valve plate, a valve spring and an unloader. The performance of the valve is directly related to the reliability and efficiency of the compressor. The gas valve uses a mesh valve in this equipment to avoid the following shortcomings: the guide parts are very easy to wear without oil lubrication. When the unloader is not working, the intake valve is completely closed. When the compressor starts to work, at this time, under the action of the unloader, the intake valve is forcibly opened to open to the specified 50%, 100% state. Make the outlet pressure reach the specified working pressure. When the intake valve stops, the intake valve opens to the 100% position, and the residual air in the cylinder is discharged to the cylinder through the air valve, enters the intake buffer tank, and is discharged through the exhaust valve to put the piston into the cylinder. Pressure balance before and after.
