A hydrogen compressor is a device that increases hydrogen pressure by reducing its volume to produce compressed hydrogen or liquid hydrogen. It is a compressor that discharges the hydrogen collected in the water electrolysis tank to the outboard.

The compressor unit is mainly composed of a fuselage, a middle body, a cylinder, a crankshaft, a connecting rod, a crosshead, a piston assembly, a packing and a gas valve.

 

1. The fuselage body is cast by cast iron, open at the upper part of each main bearing to disassemble the crankshaft and connecting rod. The main bearing near the motor end is the axial positioning bearing of the crankshaft, and the bearing end has a sealing device to prevent leakage of lubricating oil. The bearing is made of aluminum and covered with a thin bar-type alloy. The main bearing bush is made of bearing alloy thin-walled tile. The crankcase cover can only be opened after 30 minutes in the event of an emergency stop, and there is a danger of explosion if it is opened too early.

 

2. The middle body is the key component connecting the fuselage and the cylinder. It is cast and cast from cast iron. There are large and small windows on both sides of the middle body, mainly to disassemble the packing and adjust the piston clearance. Check the piston rod parallelism when the piston reciprocates. (ie, the eccentricity of the piston rod is 0.04 mm, the maximum is not more than 0.07 mm), and the scraping device is installed at the rear end of the chute. Its function is to make the air in the crankcase not be confused with the nitrogen in the cylinder and the stuffing box. The lubricating oil in the crankcase can be recycled and recycled. The upper part and the bottom part of the middle body are provided with special holes, which can provide channels and interfaces for the isolation stuffing box through the nitrogen protection and the water cooling and nitrogen protection of the pressure stuffing box.

 

3. The cylinder surface is water cooled and has a water jacket inside. When the cooling water is circulating, the heat generated during the compression process is partially taken away to improve the heating condition of the cylinder block. The flow direction of the gas pipelines in the cylinder is both upward and downward, and the flow direction of the cooling water interface is downward and upward. The cylinder bore in the cylinder has a working surface that is mirror-like and wear-resistant. Wipe the cylinder bore with a clean non-woven fabric.

 

4. The crankshaft is an important part of the compressor. Made of high-quality carbon steel. In this case, there are two main stores and two curved necks. The two curved necks are rotated 180 degrees to improve dynamic balance. The main shaft and curved neck have oil holes at a certain angle, and the surfaces of the oil holes and shaft are round and polished to increase the fatigue strength of the crankshaft. The lubricant is removed from the main journal and reaches the crankshaft journal through the oil holes on the main shaft. Then place the oil hole on the connecting rod on the cross pin to lubricate and cool the moving parts.

 

5. The connecting rod is the connecting part of the crosshead and the crankshaft. It is composed of the shaft body, the connecting rod big head bearing and the connecting rod small head bearing and connecting bolt. The shaft is made of high quality carbon steel forging with good mechanical properties. The rod nut is slotted and positioned with a split pin. The connecting rod crank pin bearing is a two-piece shell type aluminum bearing that can be mounted on the crank pin. The connecting rod toggle pin bearing is an integral solid aluminum bushing that is retracted into the eye of the connecting rod. The size of the connecting rod has an oil hole through, and the lubricating oil can directly pass through the large and small bearing along the oil hole to lubricate and cool the large and small head bearings. If the running clearance becomes too large and the bearing makes noise, it should be replaced.

 

6. The crosshead is cast steel split structure. There are two aluminum bushings on the outside of the crosshead. The crosshead is provided with a gasket under the slider for easy installation and adjustment. The crosshead and piston rod pass the connecting rod nut. Connect and use the internal toothed fixing cover to lock loose (A03), (A08) with pin bolts to prevent loosening. The bolt crosshead pin is made of carbonized steel, and is connected to the cross body by taper and the taper surface is brought into close contact with the pin. The key on the taper surface is used to prevent the pin from rotating in the hole seat. The lubrication between the crosshead and the glideslope of the middle body is achieved by the oil eye of the crosshead leading to the glideslope of the middle body.

 

7. The piston assembly consists of a piston rod, a piston body and a piston ring. The piston rod is made of nitrided alloy steel and the surface is nitrided to improve its wear resistance. The piston ring is an important and easy to wear part of the compressor. Its function is to prevent gas from leaking from the high pressure side of the cylinder to the low pressure side. The material, processing accuracy and assembly quality will directly affect the operation of the compressor. The piston ring of the hydrogen compressor on site is filled with PTFE + carbon-graphite material, which is suitable for high pressure and oil-free lubrication.

 

8. Packing is a component that prevents the gas in the cylinder from leaking between the piston rod and the cylinder. The quality of the piston rod seal directly affects the performance of the compressor. The basic requirement for the packing is good sealing performance and durability. The sealant at the front end of the on-site wiper and pressure stuffing box is a copper filler, while the back seal packing and insulation filler are filled with Teflon + carbon-graphite. The oil slinger is a long-term wear of the oil slinger, causing the oil leakage to leak along the piston rod. At this time, the oil slinger throws the lubricating oil attached to the piston rod to protect the piston rod under the inertia of the piston rod reciprocating. Cleaning, at the same time, also prevents the lubricant from entering the cylinder, causing the cylinder to explode. When the compressor is not in use, open the nitrogen valve to fill the inside of the compressor with nitrogen, protect the piston rod and prevent rust inside the compressor.

 

9. The gas valve is one of the most important components of the compressor, consisting of a valve seat, a valve plate and a valve spring and an unloader. The performance of the gas valve is directly related to the reliability and working efficiency of the compressor. The gas valve uses a mesh valve in this equipment to avoid the disadvantage that the guiding part is extremely easy to wear without oil lubrication. When the unloader is not working, the intake valve is completely closed. When the compressor starts to work, at this time, under the action of the unloader, the intake valve is forcibly opened to open to the specified 50%, 100% state. To make the export pressure reach the specified working pressure. When the intake valve is stopped, the intake valve is opened to the 100% position, so that the residual air of the cylinder is discharged to the cylinder through the air valve, enters the intake buffer tank, and is discharged by the vent valve to make the piston inside the cylinder. Pressure balance before and after.
